Member Terms
Yours Meets Mine provides technology for people to discover listings, communicate and arrange exchanges. Unless Yours Meets Mine expressly says otherwise, members—not Yours Meets Mine—provide the goods, services, transport, activities or training described in listings.
Member promises
- You are at least 18 years old and may legally enter an agreement.
- Your identity, profile, listings, qualifications and availability are accurate and not misleading.
- You will comply with laws, licences, permits, insurance requirements and safety standards that apply to your activity.
- You will not use Yours Meets Mine for prohibited, exploitative, discriminatory, deceptive or unsafe conduct.
- You remain responsible for checking another member, the suitability of an activity, and the terms of each exchange before proceeding.
Platform limits
Match scores, verification labels and automated suggestions are decision-support signals—not guarantees of identity, character, suitability, legality, quality, availability or safety. To the extent permitted by law, Yours Meets Mine does not accept responsibility for member-provided listings or independently arranged activities. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees.
Free membership and private arrangements
Membership is free. Yours Meets Mine does not currently process payments, hold member funds or arrange payment disputes. Members make any private arrangements at their own discretion and should use appropriate caution.
Safety Acknowledgement
Members acknowledge that meeting strangers, driving, boating, outdoor activities, physical work, tools, training, cash sales and entering private property can involve serious risks. Members must make their own safety assessment and can cancel at any time.
- Meet first in a public place where practical; tell someone your plans and keep communications on-platform.
- For drives: verify the driver, licence, registration and insurance; use seatbelts; never travel with an impaired or unsafe driver.
- For boating: confirm the skipper, vessel, weather, required safety equipment, lifejackets, capacity and local maritime rules.
- For services or training: check qualifications, insurance and working-with-children requirements where relevant.
- Never send deposits or sensitive documents until identity, terms and payment protections have been checked.
- In immediate danger, contact local emergency services; platform reporting is not an emergency service.
Privacy Notice
Yours Meets Mine collects account and contact details, general location, profile information, listings, messages, support requests, reports, consent records and safety signals that members provide or create while using the service. Technical providers may also process device, security and usage information needed to deliver and protect the service. This information is used to operate accounts, provide local discovery and activity suggestions, review content, respond to support and safety concerns, prevent misuse, maintain records and improve the service.
Public previews and member privacy
Visitors can browse limited previews of selected listings and activities. Public previews do not show usernames, real names, contact options, profile photos or full member profiles. A member chooses whether and when to share further information after connecting privately.
How information is held and shared
Account and member data is held using contracted hosting, database, security, analytics and human-verification providers, including Supabase, Cloudflare and hCaptcha where enabled. Information is shared only where needed to provide those functions, respond to lawful requirements, protect safety or complete a member-authorised interaction. Some service providers may process information outside Australia; provider locations, safeguards and retention settings require confirmation during external privacy review.
Automated listing checks
When a member submits a marketplace listing, job or tradie service listing for publication, its listing text and attached listing photos may be sent to OpenAI's moderation service to screen for potentially harmful content. A flagged result or an unavailable check leaves the listing hidden for administrator review. This screening does not establish identity, truth, authenticity, licence status, insurance, legal compliance or safety. Personal profile photos, private member profile information, identity records and tradie licence or insurance documents are not sent to OpenAI for this check. OpenAI and other service providers may process information outside Australia. Members should avoid placing personal details in listing photos or text unless they intend to share them with the service.
Location and personal photos
Yours Meets Mine does not collect device GPS, live location or precise coordinates for discovery. Searches use the approximate centre of a selected town or suburb and a fixed search radius, rather than a street address. Members may type a meeting place into a private message after connecting. A member may choose a generic avatar or submit a photo of themselves. Submitted photos are stored privately, re-encoded to remove embedded metadata where possible, and shown only within the member profile after a safety check. Public previews do not show member profile photos.
Your choices, access and complaints
Members can update key profile and listing information in their account and may request access, correction or deletion through Help & support. Privacy concerns can be submitted through the same private support channel and will be reviewed and answered as soon as reasonably practicable. Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for service operation, legal obligations, consent records, safety investigations and dispute handling, then deleted or de-identified where appropriate.
Community & listing rules
Yours Meets Mine may reject, restrict, remove or preserve evidence relating to content or accounts that create legal, safety or trust risks, with an appeal process where appropriate.
- No weapons, illegal drugs, stolen goods, regulated products without approval, sexual services, exploitation or trafficking.
- No harassment, hate, threats, doxxing, impersonation, fraud, pyramid schemes or misleading claims.
- No unsafe transport, unlicensed regulated work, undisclosed commercial dealing or requests that endanger people or animals.
- No copyright-infringing material or photos of others without permission.
- Adult content and minors are excluded from the initial release.
Worldwide launch framework
Yours Meets Mine is designed for global use, but access should be enabled country by country. Each launch needs local terms, privacy disclosures, consumer rights, tax and payment treatment, online-safety controls, content rules, sanctions screening, age requirements, insurance and dispute arrangements.
